Conor Gallagher has sent an emotional message to Chelsea fans after completing his move to Atletico Madrid. The England international signed a five-year contract with the La Liga side on Wednesday 21 August, ending an 18-year association with Chelsea. In a video shared on his social media, Gallagher sent a classy message to fans, thanking them for all their support. “To everyone at Chelsea football club, and especially the fans, I want to say thank you for everything in the last 18 years,” he says. “You made my dreams come true and I’ll forever be grateful.” Chelsea announced the signing of Atletico’s Joao Felix hours after Gallagher’s move was completed.

The 24-year-old has signed a seven-year deal with the London club

The clubs agreed a reported £33.7million fee for the 24-year-old England international.
