Tottenham forward used page to show support for IsraelSolomon’s account has been ‘quickly restored’ Meta has insisted that Tottenham forward Manor Solomon’s Instagram account was removed by mistake and not because of any content related to his support for Israel. According to a report, Solomon found out that his account had been deactivated after he was given permission by the club to travel to Israel to resolve a family matter. But a spokesperson for Meta, which owns Instagram, told the Guardian that the 24-year-old’s account “was removed by mistake and has been quickly restored. And Tottenham, just as optimism is beginning to sprout, will find a way to lose. Or will they? Perhaps this is the true Ange Postecoglou revolution: it took 15 minutes of added-time, but from somewhere they found two late goals to win it. After a busy deadline day, our football writers pick over the transfer window that was for each of the 20 clubs Arsenal did most of their business quickly and decisively, landing Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber early in the window. Long-term target David Raya arrived from Brentford later on and the squad seemed well set until an unfortunate injury to Timber, who will miss much of the season. It is the summer’s one black mark although Mikel Arteta has additionally run a risk by not acquiring top-quality backup for Bukayo Saka. Granit Xhaka was the biggest-name departure and they chose to cash in on Folarin Balogun, who has signed for Monaco. A number of other fringe players were moved on.
